Dr. Sunaina Shrivastava

Dr. Sunaina Shrivastava is a leading expert in Behavioral Marketing, Digital and Growth Strategy, and Consumer Psychology, with over a decade of experience driving impact across academia and industry. She is a Faculty of Business and Consumer Behavior at New York University (NYU) where she teaches future leaders in the Master's program and has previously held academic positions at other prestigious universities including Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Manhattan University, and the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
In addition to her academic roles, Dr. Shrivastava is an accomplished marketing strategy and growth consultant. She has advised clients across sectors, helping them accelerate customer acquisition, boost retention, and drive engagement through behaviorally informed digital strategies. Her prior experience includes serving as a Senior Behavioral Scientist at Ipsos Inc., where she led initiatives to enable companies strategically position themselves in the marketing space, and serving on the Advisory Board for a New York-based boutique market research firm focused on understanding and applying behavioral insights.
Dr. Shrivastava’s research has been published in leading journals such as the Journal of Consumer Marketing, Judgment and Decision Making, and the Journal of Marketing Communications. She was recently featured on the cover of Brainz Magazine, which spotlighted her work at the intersection of academic expertise, marketing innovation, and business application.
In recognition of her contributions, The Business Council of Westchester named Dr. Shrivastava to its 2025 “40 Under 40” list, honoring her leadership across marketing, business strategy, and education.
Dr. Shrivastava holds a Ph.D. in Marketing and Consumer Behavior from the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa, an MBA in Marketing, and a Bachelor's in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
